Enjoy African treat at Pretoria hilltop 'Ikhutsa Spa'
Ikhutsa Spa at Mountain Manor Guest House is located on a rocky outcrop on Lynnwood Road, 5 minutes from central Pretoria.
Both a day spa and overnight spa with accommodation provided, it features a sauna and steam room, a spa bath, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a coffee shop, a restaurant, and indoor and outdoor treatment rooms. In winter some of the treatment rooms are warmed by under-floor heating.
The spa welcomes its guests with iced tea and an African foot ritual, in which the feet are bathed in indigenous African salts.
The Mountain Manor Guest House is constructed of natural stone and has 6 air-conditioned suites, including a honeymoon suite, which sleep a total of 15 people. Rates include a continental breakfast. The restaurant also serves à la carte lunches and set dinners.
The Ikhutsa Spa features as its signature treatment the Inkaba Full Body Massage, a session of luxury head-to-toe pampering in which products from the Wisdom of Africa range are used. It has also designed a set of combination treatments lasting from a couple of hours to a full day, depending on how much time you have.
The spa’s menu includes waxing and tinting, scrubs, soaks, massages of all types, facials, manicures and pedicures. More specialised treatments cover foot reflexology, mud wraps, aromatherapy and lymph drainage. Slippers and robes are provided to clients.
Individual clients are advised to contact the spa on a monthly basis or consult its website for information on specials. The spa also tailors packages for groups (including corporate groups) of 10 or more people.
A mobile spa service is offered for those who do not have time to spare, with therapists meeting clients at home or the office.
