Dr. Amoako Tuffour responds to $1.1m cooking utensils claim

Local Government Minister, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo told NDC supporters at a political rally at Odododiodoo last Saturday the failure of the previous government to pay 44 thousand Ghana cedis for utensils supplied to the program has resulted in the million dollar claim.
But, Dr. Amoako Tuffour who was head of the program during the period tells Joy News the Kufuor administration cannot be blamed for a debt that the current government simply refused to pay when it took over power.
“This is a debt that is there and the government hasn’t paid, the government must pay its just debts. They haven’t got any one-to-one score, no! Not against me on judgement debt.”
