Ghana Has Genuine Investors – Dumega

Dumega Raymond Okudzeto, an international businessmen and elder statesman of the Anlo Traditional area, has appealed to foreign investors to partner local ones to ensure the development of the country.

Though foreign investors have complained about their inability to find genuine locals to partner, Dumega, who doubles as founder and president of Volta Foundation, a developmental organization, said there were genuine local investors in the country.

He was speaking recently at a ceremony attended by a lot of diplomats and international business executives in Accra.

“The vast economic resources in Africa continue to attract a lot of foreign investors; however, some of the investors are unwilling to partner local partners. They continue to complain that there aren’t enough genuine local counterparts but this is a lie. We are here in our numbers.”

Some young businesses executives, Kofi Asante and Henry Kanyi Foli, in seperate remarks, assured foreign investors that there were more than enough genuine businessmen in Ghana and on the African continent to partner.

“We are ready for any foreign investor who would want to do business in Ghana and in other countries in Africa.” Kofi Asante stated.

Kanyi Foli also expressed the same opinion.

They revealed that they have over the past years been making trips to countries like the United States and Europe to sensitize both foreigners and indigenes of the continent to invest in Africa.
