DukeAfrica is an organization founded on the main principle of disseminating African culture and tradition to the Duke and greater Durham communities. Students can find a warm and welcoming environment in which to celebrate and understand the diverse history of the African continent. Through various events held throughout the school year, including discussions, movie nights, and study breaks, DukeAfrica spreads awareness regarding the current social, political, and economic state of Africa

Jabulani, meaning “rejoice” in Zulu, is an African cultural showcase that DukeAFRICA presents annually in the Spring. Jabulani includes African fashion, song, dance, and other African talents spanning from all regions of the continent.  DukeAFRICA solicits talent from the help of other student organizations on campus to display African culture.
