John Attah Mills’ Kinsmen Accuse Rawlings Of Killing The Late President
THE FOUNDER of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former President, Jerry John Rawlings, has been accused by the people of Ekumfi Otuam of killing former President Mills
Some residents of the former president’s hometown said the former first family should seek God’s forgiveness for killing a humble and God fearing man.
Maame Ekua Tawiah, a native of the town told DAILY GUIDE the late president had never thought of going into politics but the former first family forced him into it with the intention of killing him.
Maame Tawiah stated that the town’s people never understood why Mr. Rawlings who introduced Professor Mills into politics turned out to be his worst enemy with his constant criticism of him while he was in office.
“Mills was thinking about how the former first family mistreated him hence his sudden death,” she said.
“Rawlings does not like the people of Ekumfi because he killed Mr. Arthur who could have uplifted the image of Ekumfi Otuam during the coup,” she further alleged.
At Cape Coast, some NDC members also gave a political twist to the death of the former president.
But the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Cape Coast Constituency Women’s Organizer, Hannah Thompson has called on the public to stop politicizing the death of former President Mills.
She added that since death awaits us all, nobody had the right to politicize his death.
