Husband catches wife intimate with boyfriend in a car- boyfriend runs over husband
THERE was commotion in Gweru's Mkoba Village 14 suburb when a man, only identified as Mr Siziba, caught his wife red-handed having sex in a car with her lover.
Siziba who had reportedly received a tip-off that his wife was having a nice time with another man had a double shock when he was later knocked down by the suspect, Nathan Musona (age not given) while he was fleeing from Siziba as he attempted to effect a citizen's arrest on him.
Acting police spokesperson for Midlands province Assistant Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident, which occurred on Sunday near Mkoba 14 Shopping Centre at about 8.30pm.
Witnesses said Siziba sustained minor injuries after he was knocked down by Musona while he was speeding off from the scene.
“When Siziba got to the scene following a tip-off, he tried to get hold of Musona through the window. On sensing danger, Musona quickly drove off at high speed.
“Mr Siziba was dragged for close to 10 metres before he was knocked down. Some people who had quickly gathered to catch the drama then picked up Mr Siziba while another Good Samaritan who had a truck chased Musona who was fleeing together with his lover,” said the witness.
The witnesses said Musona was later blocked in Mkoba Village 20 resulting in him abandoning his car and taking to his heels.
"Drama intensified when Mr Siziba who had initially been knocked down later arrived in another car at the scene and started assaulting his wife who had remained in her lover's car," said the witness.
Asst Insp Mahoko said police who later attended to the scene took the abandoned car to Nehanda Police Station. He said police have since launched a manhunt for Musona who is still at large.
“When police attended the scene, the suspect Musona who had been allegedly caught engaging in sex with another man’s wife had vanished in the dark leaving behind the vehicle.
“The vehicle was then impounded and police are keen to interview Musona in connection with a hit and run incident after it emerged that he had knocked down his lover's husband when he initially fled from the scene where they were allegedly caught committing adultery," said Asst Insp Mahoko.
